NFL owners have more reasons to smile tonight. Hundreds of million more reasons. If not billions.
Per multiple reports, former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will buy the L.A. Clippers from Donald Sterling for $2 billion.
That’s Steve Ballmer. As in this Steve Ballmer. Paying $2 billion.
That’s not a bad return for Sterling, who bought the team in 1981 for $12.5 million.
It’s also nearly four times more than the previous record haul of $550 million for the Milwaukee Bucks, which were sold for $550 million. It’s also second only in all sports to the L.A. Dodgers, which were purchased most recently from Frank McCourt for $2.1 billion.
So what does that mean for NFL franchises? The estate of Ralph Wilson is about to find out.
Two years ago, Jimmy Haslam bought the Browns reportedly for $1.05 billion. Before that, Shad Khan purchased the Jaguars for $760 million.
If an NBA franchise can be worth $2 billion, what could an NFL team go for?
Surely, the Los Angeles location factored into the price. And that could prompt someone who owns or who wants to buy an NFL team to suddenly get serious about moving to L.A. If baseball and basketball teams playing there are worth more than $2 billion, what would an NFL team in L.A. be worth?
Three billion? Four billion? More?
Buffalo fans hopes that the estate of Ralph Wilson doesn’t find out.

Watch Complex TV's Premiere Episode of "No Debate" with Bauce Sauce
Illmatic or Stillmatic? The LOX or Migos? Is Miley Cyrus a true rapper or nah? These controversial questions need answers, and in Complex TV's brand new series "No Debate," host Bauce Sauce seeks to find these truths for the culture. The premiere episode features panelists Brian "B.Dot" Miller (Content Director, Rap Radar) and Ernest Baker(cultural critic and writer), who argue over the most pressing topics in hip-hop today.
The episode opens with the segment "Was That a Troll?" where Bauce Sauce reads tweets from each panelist to find out whether they truly meant what they said, or if they were just trolling their followers. Sauce asks Ernest about his recent tweet in which the writer called Miley Cyrus' verseon "23" one of the greatest ever.
B.Dot, who recently tweeted to his thousands of followers that Nas' Stillmatic is better than his debut album Illmatic, gets put in the hot seat, as well.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos' $8 Trillion B2B Bet
In recent months global Internet retail behemoth Amazon.com has green-lit six new original TV shows, announced an online streaming deal with HBO and tested same-day grocery delivery on the West Coast.Forget the delivery drones and TV deals. Jeff Bezos’ stealthy foray into the unsexy world of B2B distribution is likely his most disruptive move yet — and it has an $8 trillion swath of the economy running scared.

But there’s one thing Bezos hasn’t been talking about: AmazonSupply, an e-commerce site targeting the unsexy but hugely lucrative wholesale and distribution market. Peterson laughed off McCoy’s comments

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson says Eagles running back LeSean McCoy doesn’t really consider himself the best running back in the NFL.
Peterson said on FOX Sports Radio that he found it funny when he saw McCoy make that claim on ESPN.
“I definitely started laughing,” Peterson said. “It was funny because when Stephen [A. Smith] asked him the question, you know, he kind of hesitated. If you watched it, you know he didn’t believe it when he said it. So I’ve got to tell the youngsters, ‘Next time, say it with your chest, man. Say it like you mean it!”
The 29-year-old Peterson says the 25-year-old McCoy knows deep down who’s really the best.
“He didn’t really mean it,” Peterson said. “If you watched – if you’ve seen his response – he didn’t really mean it. . . . But, you know, I’ve got to give the young guy credit, you know. There’s nothing wrong with having confidence in yourself.”
Durant says Fisher can be great coach for the Knicks

SAN ANTONIO — Knicks coaching candidate Derek Fisher may not only turn out to be a better leader as a head coach one day than Steve Kerr but perhaps a better recruiter. And one guy Fisher may not have a problem recruiting is his current Oklahoma City teammate Kevin Durant.
Durant will be a free agent in 2016. Knicks president Phil Jackson already has braced for the possibility of striking out in the 2015 free-agent bonanza, especially if Kevin Love and LeBron James are off the market. Their Plan D is Durant, who thinks the world of Fisher as a potential head coach and hails from Maryland, where Carmelo Anthony was also raised after moving to Baltimore at age 9.
When asked Tuesday by The Post if he felt Fisher had the attributes to be a solid coach, Durant said, “Without a doubt. He’s a smart guy, smart mind. He’s a great motivator, great speaker and can really relate to a lot of guys and demands that respect from everybody. He’s a great locker-room guy. I’m sure he’ll do a great job.’’
Fisher did a great job on the court in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals, coming off the bench to pour in 16 points in 24 minutes with two steals, making 4-of-6 3-pointers. An Oklahoma City source said Fisher is in better shape this season than last and certainly having a more productive season in shooting 38.5 percent from 3-point range.
“He looks good to me,’’ Durant said. “He’s taking care of himself and playing well.’’
Fisher said during training camp this would be his final season. It could all end conceivably Sunday night as the Thunder trail 1-0 and don’t have key big man Serge Ibaka. That’s when Jackson, who teamed with Fisher to five titles with the Lakers, can pounce.
Asked if there’s any wavering regarding retirement, Fisher said, “That’s how I felt in training camp. I didn’t sign a contract [to retire] and etch it in stone. But that’s how I feel. That’s still how I feel. My mind hasn’t really changed.’’
With Durant on the quiet side and Russell Westbrook’s enigmatic, combative personality, Fisher is a vital voice in the locker room.
“He’s like the leader of the team,’’ an Oklahoma City source said.
Nick Collison said Fisher was born to coach.
“I’m sure he’s thinking about it in the back of his mind but he’s great for us on the court and off the court,’’ Collison said. “If that’s the field he chooses, I think he’ll be great. He’s unique, one-of-a-kind. The only guy I ever played with who can address the team in a way as a leader. He’s able to address the team more so than anybody I played with and he backs it up on the court, too.’’
Fisher certainly can make more as a coach than player, where he’s worth the $1.4 million veteran’s minimum. The Knicks offered new Warriors coach Steve Kerr $4.4 million per year last week.
Reggie Miller, during a TNT broadcast, suggested Fisher should look into being a player/coach like the old days. But on a conference call Tuesday, Miller said he was “making a joke,’’ that it can’t be done “wearing two hats’’ in the modern era.
Nevertheless, Miller said he wouldn’t be surprised either way whether Fisher coaches the Knicks or returns to Oklahoma City.
“The way he shot the ball [Monday] night I don’t think he’s ready to retire,’’ Miller said. “He looked like he had something left in the tank. Obviously, it will come down to if he thinks he’s ready to take that next step to be a professional head coach.“I’m sure he’ll sit down with Phil after the season. If there’s one guy who knows the triangle in and out, it would be Derek Fisher, part of those great championship runs. I think he could be a great coach. He has a great basketball mind. I wouldn’t be surprised if they gave him a shot.’’
The Post reported Jackson is willing to expand his search and hire someone not familiar with the triangle offense, opening the door a crack for Mark Jackson.
People in Mark Jackson’s inner circle believe he has some interest in the job but is wary of Jackson’s heavy-handed influence from the president’s box.
“He certainly should get an interview going off his résumé,’’ Miller said. “He certainly should get an interview. I’m not saying he should get the job. If Phil wants to go with someone whom he’s familiar with and understands triangle, he has every right to do that. Certainly Mark Jackson should get an interview. He’s born and bred in New York, knows the media landscape. He knows the climate of the New York Knicks. That should warrant at least an interview.’’

Aaliyah Dana Haughton accomplished much in the 22 years she was afforded. She recorded three seminal R&B albums, all of which sold at least one million records. She starred in a hit movie. She worked with nearly everyone who was popping in the industry from 1994 to 2001, a list that includes R. Kelly, Ginuwine, Treach, Jermaine Dupri, Static Major, Missy Elliott, and Timbaland. More importantly, while working alongside those people, she developed a sound that's lived on and influenced an entirely new generation of artists, R&B and otherwise. You can hear Aaliyah's influence all through the music industry right now.
Aaliyah is best remembered for her genre-bending collaborations with Timbaland. Starting with her sophomore album One in a Million, the two, along with Missy Elliott and other Blackground Records producers, crafted space-age funk with a string of hits that left an indelible mark on popular music. Chris Rock Will Host 2014 BET Awards
Yesterday’s announcement of the 2014 BET Awards nominees has being followed up with the revealing of the host for the show. BET announced today that long time comedian and actor Chris Rock will host the show on June 29.
“We’ve been trying to make this happen for a VERY long while, and we’re ecstatic that Chris Rock will be the host of the BET Awards for the first time,” said president of Music Programming and Specials at BET via a statement. “Mr. Rock is a comedic genius with a rapier who is a keen observer of pop culture.”
Rock, who is no stranger to hip-hop with features on numerous albums–most notably on “Blame Game” off of Kanye West’s, 808s & Heartbreak–is excited to be a part of the show.
“I watch the BET Awards every year,” said Rock in a statement. “It’s one of my favorite award shows combining people from movies, sports, TV and music. Where else can you get Rick Ross and Michelle Obama in the same room?! The BET Awards is like a party where nothing is off limits. My peers have done the show now it’s my turn.”
Drake, Jay Z, and Beyonce lead all nominees with five nominations apiece. With the recent Drake and Rihanna breakup and the Jay Z, Solange incident, this year’s show may bring a few unanticipated fireworks.

Fox Announces 2014-2015 Schedule

Fox has unveiled its new fall schedule, which finds Bones on the move (again!),Glee missing in action and Animation Domination being a little less animated with the introduction of live comedies on Sunday night.
After testing out the waters on pretty much every night of Fox's schedule, Bones is returning to Thursday nights at 8/7c, where it aired during the fourth, fifth and part of its sixth season. It will be followed by Broadchurch adaptation Gracepoint at 9/8c. ReplacingBones on Monday nights at 8/7c is the new Batman origin series Gotham, which will be followed by Sleepy Hollow in its regular timeslot at 9/8c.
One of the bigger surprises is that the network is adding two live-action comedies into its Animation Domination block on Sunday night. Standout comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine will air at 8:30/7:30c, preceded by Bob's Burgers and The Simpsons. Family Guy will air at 9/8c followed by new comedy Mulaney at 9:30/8:30c.
New reality series Utopia will kick off Tuesday nights, followed by New Girl and Mindy Project, while Octavia Spencer's Red Band Society follows Hell's Kitchen on Wednesday night.
New series Backstrom, Empire, Hieroglyph, Last Man on Earth, Bordertown and Weird Loners, as well as event series Wayward Pines and a live version of Grease will debut in 2015. Live special Jump of the Century is slated for fall.
